Reception Menu

Don't you hate it when the food at a wedding is sub par (we've heard of chili dogs being served at one wedding). We take our eating seriously, and it was important for us that the food conformed to our especially discriminating palates. So it was good news indeed when we found out that the folks behind the Prado's namesake, award-winning, restaurant will also be catering our reception. Rach and I have eaten there many times and we can vouch for the quality of their food. Here's a sneak preview of our menu:

Cocktail Hour - Tray Passed Hors d'oeuvres
Black Pepper Seared Beef with Horseradish Cream &
Whole Grain Mustard on Garlic Crostini

Prosciutto Wrapped Grilled Asparagus Canape

Tomato Bruschetta with Roasted Eggplant &
Sweet Basil on Garlic Crostini

Herb Pancake with Forest Mushrooms, Asparagus &
Marinated Tomatoes

First Course
The Prado Pressed Salad
Organic Baby Arugula, Sliced Strawberries, Mission Figs,
Candied Walnuts & Shaved Asiago
Sherry Shallot Vinaigrette, Aged Balsamic Drizzle
~
Artisan Rolls & Sweet Cream Butter

*For those of you who've got your invitations, when you reply, please do not forget to mark your entrée preference. Here are your choices in order to make an informed decision:

Main Entrée
Wild Mushroom & Asparagus Stuffed Chicken Breast
Roasted Garlic Crushed Potatoes, Lemon Thyme Butter

Wasabi Cilantro Crusted Atlantic Salmon
Ginger Carrot Puree, Baby Bok Choy, Plum Wine Reduction

Vegetarian Lasagna
Fresh Spinach Pasta with Portobello Mushroom,
Spinach, Eggplant, Fire Roasted Red Peppers & Ricotta Trio of Pepper Coulis

I think Rachel has settled on the salmon, which is also my first choice, but I think I'll be getting the chicken so we can taste both. No matter what you choose, we can assure you that the food will be super YUMMY. Don't forget to bring your appetites!
